Just purchased and put in the Kenwood Excelon head unit model KDC-x595 Through Chrutchfield. I think that head unit has Time Aliment.

It's a way for the head unit sent slightly different power to your speakers to get the Best sound stage.

K9 is more familiar with this than me.

You mean Digital Time Management.
Negative, only the highest Kenwood Excelon models. The
model KDC- x995
for Double the money of what I paid. @ $329.00 through Chrutchfield.com
If money was not a problem I would have gone with a flip out display/Nav unit instead.
The sound is still adjustable to ones taste. So far stock speakers sound good up front, but in the back, it could use an upgrade with more bass.
I was thinking of a pair Kicker speakers 6x8 in back or just add a small amp with 8" woofer and leaving the speakers alone.

5x7's will not give you much bass out of the rear pillars. Bass needs room to expand. The pillar location is not ideal. Plus 5x7's are not bassy speakers.

Cut and dry. If you want some low end; get a subwoofer.

You add some impressive bass.

What is your budget?

You don't need to buy from Crutchfeild. They are 200% more expensive than other places.

Sure, they have a warranty; but for 200% (up to 300%) more, the 'warranty' isn't worth it.

If you buy a good name brand, and a New Item from a trusted seller with 99% or better feedback on ebay, you are much better off.

There is like a 1% chance you might get a bad item. That same 1% chance exists with Crutchfeilds items too. Pioneer or Kicker make the same product, regardless of who sells it.

I will take the 1% chance all day, and if it breaks, getting another one. Still You would break even with the Crutchfeild price.

Only reason I am saying that; if your budget is $200, you can do pretty will outside of Crutchfeild for a nice subwoofer and an amp. In the 500RMS area.

You won't touch that for under $500 @ crutchfeild.

So what is your budget?

Haven't really thought about it. If I were to put a budget price it would be around $150.00 or so.

this comes with the box, amp, subwoofer, and wiring kit.

the price includes tax and free shipping.

I wouldn't go any lower in quality than this.

Bass Package: Hifonics HFi100.2 + Kenwood KFCW3012 + Kit + Box

$199

if you can put together 300. you can do much much better. This will be OK though

Are you using the stock speakers? if so, how significant was the change in sound? I have a 2003 and coincidentally this was one of the units I was looking at.
