So your speakers are 80 RMS each.
A 4 channel amp to match it would be 75 RMS x 4 (CEA certified. The Consumer Electronics Association evaluated amps to make sure they put out what they say they did. If you get a Non-CEA certified amp,it could say 1,000 x 4 watts, and just lie about it. I only recommend CEA certified amps) I found you a steal!!! ![]() Jensen Power 760 They must be on close out; perfect time to save $ JENSEN POWER760 4 Channel 760w Car Audio Amplifier Amp | eBay Seller: vminnovations $74.95 (FREE SHIPPING) OR If you want to stay away from ebay, you can buy it from the Vminnovations Website: JENSEN POWER760 760W 4-Channel Amplifier : $73.95 : VMInnovations.com $73.95 Power Series 4-Channel Class AB Car Amplifier RMS Power Rating: 4 ohms: 75 watts x 4 chan 2 ohms: 100 watts x 4 chan Bridged, 4 ohms: 190 watts x 2 chan Max power output: 380 watts x 2 chan. The Mono amp is kinda of hard to pick out with out knowing the exact model of the MTX 12" 's.
MTX makes several lines of subwoofers. Their entry level subwoofers are 200 RMS each, and they make subwoofers up to 1,000 RMS each. I will pick out an amp for their entry level ones (200 RMS each; 400 RMS total) and their mid level ones (300 RMS each, 600 total) *Find out what models they are for me; just curious. ---- *Finally, we will make sure to wire the subwoofers to 2 ohms to get you the best bang for the dollar. When looking for a head unit on a budget; there are certain things not to compromise on.
6 pre outs. (so you can hook up your 4 channel amp; and your Mono amp) 4 volt Pre outs (volts = quality. 4 volts is the best, avoid 2 volt pre outs) Cea Certified 5 band or better Equalizer. Equalizers allow you to control your music. You can adjust your Bass, Mid bass, low Mids, High Mids, and Highs. Never go with a 2 band eq where it's just Bass/Treble or even a 3 band where it's only bass/mid/high. A 5 band EQ allows you to Tune your music properly. 5 or better. Options: Sat Radio Ready USB and 3.5 mm Jack (to play Mp3's and Ipods) CD player (some people still use CD's and MP3 CD's) I like this one: Pioneer DEH-P8300UB Pioneer DEH-P8300UB CD receiver at Crutchfield.com $169 (free dash kit, free wire harness, free shipping) Pioneer DEH-P8300UB (DEHP8300UB) CD/MP3 Car Stereo iPod USB & Aux $179 (free dash kit, free wire harness, free shipping) Or buy it for $150 and get the dash kit and wire harness separate. Now we have $55 left for 2 amp kits.
You don't want to get something to cheap. I will see what I can find on that budget. I would look for a "Dual amp Kit" *It would give you enough wire to ground 2 amps; a distribution block to split the main wire up to both amps, and will have a slightly smaller wire for the second amp (ideal set up) --- Stinger SPK5645R or The InstallBay AK01 The InstallBay AK01 $69 ![]() The Install Bay AK01 0 Gauge Dual Amplifier Installation Kit Package Includes: everything needed to properly install two car audio amplifiers. Best buy Corporate set's it's prices with the Manufactures, so they basically sell it for MSPR which is usually 200% more than retail. Car audio shops can be shady, and will over charge you too. I did a little shoppping around for you, and tried to limit to to 2-3 places to buy everything. Buy it from ebay or anyone else you want, but I put what I would do. I did look for the best prices too... You are buying from 3 places Sonic/VM and Crutchfeild. You can limit it to 2 places, but the head unit would be $10 more from sonic. By the way, thanks for the EQ. It came today. Super happy brotha! If you go into best buy; you can spend $500 on just a head unit and door/rear speakers, and not get as good quality as we did today; not to mention we got EVERYTHING YOU NEED; the head unit/ door/rear speakers, 4 channel amp; momo amp; Dash kit; Wire harness; dual amp kit and additional RCA cable. You will not need even 1 addition thing for the entire install!!!! We came out $17 above your budget, hope that isn't a problem ![]() --- I saw the Ebay note. It was selling for $177 Alpine 3330 Classic EQ equalizer remote-type old school | eBay The Alpine 3330 EQ is some bad ass stuff. I will def put it to good use. I love old school EQ's. I talked with Ford; and the whole in the front and rear are a 6x8 hole.
Crutchfield and both Sonic say you 'can' put a 6.5" round speakers in the spot as well; but that won't fill the whole up completely. It's an oval hole; and you could put a round speaker in it; and be left with un used space. If the model uses the Mach system, that is a horrible idea. Good thing I recommended the 6x8 speakers. The Mach puts each speaker in an enclosure. It's air tight, so it supports better sound for the speakers. Using a round speaker will lose the enclosures purpose. So using the 6x8" speaker is the best way to go for the front and rear speakers for sure, regardless of weather it's the Mach system or not. Either way, the the 6x8 will fill the hole completely. 1) Door and Rear Pillar Speakers. ![]() Kenwood KFC-C6893PS List Price:$99.99 Instant Savings:–$50.00 Checkout price:$49.99 per Pair. Serg-
Checked with my buddy, the subs are entry level fosgate's wired to 2 ohms, sorry thought they were MTX. Thanks for taking the time to put something together for him. Going to jump on the net tonight and place the orders. I normally would only install my own systems but he's a good friend and there are no (real) installers within 150 mile radius of where we live. Glad the EQ made it safe and sound! yea, I almost s**t a brick when I saw what one went for on ebay ![]() ![]() |
