I bought a Scosche dash installation kit for my aftermarket radio in my 03 cruiser. However, the consol bezel does not seem to fit back on correctly after installing the dash kit; the dash kit is not shaped correctly. It is close, but not close enough to allow the bezel to snap back on. Now, the instructions say it fits my car (part CR1277) but the sticker on the bag says CR1277B and does not list the pt cruiser. Did I get the wrong model? Is there another model that is specifically made for the pt cruiser, like CR1277A or C or something? Thanks

Nevermind - Upon first glance it appears that it does not matter which way you install the kit, however there is a slight difference and must be installed a specific way. Looks great now!

Nilla,
is that the CR-1277B? If so I guess I know what kit I'll be getting. That just matches damned near perfect. Like how it has the same "cutout" look as the hvac controls. Thanks for posting the picture. |

My mistake - I'm not positive that I have a Scosche kit. That's what I had on a couple previous orders from Crutchfield. However, if I look online that part is now listed as a Metra 99-6503. I doubt I still have the original paperwork to confirm it that's what I received.

Nilla,
Would you happen to have aside shot of your radio to see how far it sticks out? I ordered my radio and the kit came with it. Just wanna gauge how much work to actually get it flush |

I can get you a shot and post it later today. Radio is pretty much flush - only the controls stick out.

Photos attached - excuse the dust: I haven't cleaned the interior lately. The face of the receiver does stick out a little. Without the face-plate attached it is slightly recessed.
