Default dumb question about radio access

Hey, either they haven't made one yet or my local parts houses don't carry Haynes/Chilton manuals for the PT Cruiser. All I need to know is how to access the back of the radio where the antenna plugs in (I'm installing an HD radio module). Does the plastic panel which surrounds the radio/vents/etc. simply pull off or is there more to it? I have only had the car for a few months and don't want to break anything yet.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks! I will try this. Very excited about adding HD Radio to my car without removing the stock head unit.

2006 and up is different. There are 2 screws inside the center vents at the bottom. They are about 2 inches deep and you have to rotate the vents until a hole lines up with the screw. Once these 2 screws are out then you just pry the whole cover off. You will need to get 2 adapters since Chrysler does not use a standard antenna connector. Ford also uses the same connector.

Thanks for the info, Don! I'll check for one of those adapters the next time I'm at AutoZone.

Farrar, I would love to get details on this. How did it work out for you?

If it's easy, I would love to have access to HD radio stations via my stock 2006 radio.
