I would like to add a sub or two to my 05 convertible and still keep the stock look to the interior. I also don't want to give up any precious storage space. If anyone has some suggestions on how to do this please let me know.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I'm with you Xtrm. I don't want a debate that doesn't go anywhere. I did notice that the has a vert though. So, the mopar sub is not an option for him. Underseat maybe?? |

If you don't want to give up any storage space; then will get very very very very little bass. I am talking 40 RMS, 80 watt Max. (RMS is the more important number) To put that in prespective; my interior door speaker is 75RMS. The Mopar sub is your only option if you don't to give an inch of space up; but don't expect you will get much of any lows. PT Cruiser 8" Subwoofer speaker 80 watt amplifier | eBay $199 ![]() If you enjoy music; I recommend at least 500 RMS of bass. Here are some OEM looking options; It comes in 3 different colors that match your interior. -- I tried to find something similar to show you guys. This is a 4" mid bass Driver. 60 RMS. The Mopar is 80 watt max; 40 watt RMS. Power Acoustik XPS-104 4-inch Mid-Range/Mid-Bass Driver ![]() ![]() The frequency response is slightly difference; but still you get an idea. I strongly stand by my non recommendation of the mopar. it's time to get real. the mopar is barely even a subwoofer. -------- This will take up about as much space as 2 packs of printer paper. It will fit under your seat. Verify measurements of the box; and your seat though to make sure. That is how certain I am that a 40 watt RMS subwoofer is NOTHING. You might as well Fart; that is about 40 watts of power |

Debates are healthy; they get more info out; and people get educated that way about more possible options that they may not have considered before. Debates are good when the motive is to throw ideas out there; and help the person in the thread; and people in the future that might read the thread. For months;that has been my MO; putting out facts; info; recommendations, saving people money; and helping them get a nice sound system for their budgets. With out me asking for it; people have took initiative to show their respect for that knowledge by putting "I Graduated from Sergeant PT CRUISERS University" in their signature line. That is because of 1 thing; I put lots of info in the threads; and lots of options. The more the better. Knowledge is power. Debates are a good way to gain additional knowledge for not only the thread starter; but the 200, 400, or even 1,000 of view the thread gets in the future. As long as debates stick to the numbers; or facts; they are healthy. Even opinions and reviews are helpful. But Personal attacks aren't helpful; and a few on here have made a few personal attacks; which really takes away from the information; and the thread. ![]() Peace out Last edited by SergeantPtCruiser; 02 Aug 2011 at 09:27 pm. |

This is a 10" JL sub, more than meets my needs, just posting a picture so you can see it takes up very little space. It's only got velcro on the bottom of the box and the top-rear edge, it made it through my crash and tumble without moving! Running also JL amp, tons of bass but tuned to my liking. Love the setup and won't change it for anything!
