Default DIN E and 2 Shafts?

OK, finally managed to get hold of an old Chrysler radio, shaft fit, and want to install it in the DIN E space in the PT... anyone done this before? I have a discrete little 4-way amp with built in FM tuner, card/usb/ipod inputs and remote that I will stash somewhere for proper music (who uses CD these days anyhow?)

I was really only wondering is the DIN dock strong enough to support the weight of the front panel-mounted unit or will I need to knock up a smaller cage to hold it up?

Tough one then

Managed to find a cage that was close and some judicious cutting/glueing/fillering resulted in this:

... with which I am mighty pleased - especially as the proper system is now running too
