Ok guys so the other night I was on my way home, raining like hell, crazy drivers from hell, a/c cranked, windshield wipers at warp speed, headlights on then Hells Bells was playing so I cranked it up and low and behold my lights started to dim with each bell toll. At first I thought the 4 horseman were on their way so i switched songs, yeah like that would stop the 4 horseman, but even Katy's E.T. dimmed my lights, and yes I am sure the mother ship was not call me home.
![]() So are there ready made cables to do this? I have already picked up some new battery terminals, anyone have a good instruction to save some time and money? ![]() These are the terminals I picked up Platinum Finish High End Battery Terminal 1X 1/0 Gauge Input 1X 4 Gauge Input 2X 8 Gauge Inputs |

Dude, those are some gorgeous terminals! Me, personally, I'm going with solder on lugs for the 1/0, but want a bolt on terminal like you're showing. Where did you find that one? It's really a beautiful piece. As to the cables, depends on where you are. I found some 1/0 that's blue, black, red and yellow, take your pick. Way too expensive for my taste so I'm still looking around. I also posted on LowPT's thread about the Big 3 mod, I'd like to see what he did, he's quite the creative character.

Techno- the problem I see with that terminal is if you plan on running 1/0 there is only one spot for it. You need more than one. There will be one from the altenator to the battery and at least one to your system.
Chrome- check out your local welding supply for wire. It will be solid copper (not copper coated aluminum), very flexible, better insulation, and usually much cheaper. |

I personally do not like that "style"(set screw) of terminal. But I have used them without problem an have also used them where they have given me nothing but fits(Wires not wanting to stay snug).I have run into charging issues with those "style" terminals before also (The coating I guess?), but again have used them without issue.
4ga should be plenty for the big 3 , assuming you do not have some crazy power being pulled you shouldn't have a need for 1/0 .. though it wouldn't hurt.

Techno what size amplifier(s) are you running? 4 gauge is good for the 140-150 amp range. So, unless you have upgraded your altenator, it should be ok to use it for the big 3. And as long as you are under 1400-1500 watts it should be ok for power to the amps.

Snce these terminals would be permanent, i would go to somewhere that sells electrical supplies and buy a conductive glue or something... Id fill the hole for the wire with a decent amount of the goo, put in the wire and screw the screw tight.
