Hi, I have '06 PT Touring 2.4 and I need to find better place to take amp remote power than cig lighter. Does anyone know is there acc wire which doesn't power off when starting engine? It's very annoying when music stop and amps turn off and on when start the car.

Assuming you have the amp wired direct to the battery with a nice fat fuse inline, why not just tie the remote wire onto your positive power? The "remote" is there to make sure you don;t walk away leaving the amp powered up and drawing power... making sure you don't come back to a dead car.

The reason the cxircuit is designe that way is so that the starter is the only device working when you try to start the car...Which would you rather be annoyed by, the music stopping or the car not starting?
