I can't speak to AutoPage.
I can speak to Viper:
Viper has been doing security for just about 3 decades. They are good at it. Very good at it.
They buy out all of the other guys... use their technology and make it their own. They have the best of the best of the best out there.
I always run Viper in my vehicles.
I now have Smart Start as well.
Let me tell you, there is nothing better than knowing exactly where my car is at all times. Just look at my phone and there it is. The GPS tracking costs a little more, but if you're worried about it, it's worth it.
The only thing I have to warn you about, is don't try to do any kind of shut down via your phone. Its against the law, unless you can guarantee it's safe to do so. Ie, if the vehicle is stopped.
The last thing you want to do is have you car stolen, and attempt to shut it down while they are driving it, they lose power steering and power brakes and crash into a family and kill them... lets not go down that road.

Lets just make it so you can find your PT after the fact.

Hope that helps.

Side note: where are you getting an alarm installed on a Sunday??

Ain't no rough neighborhoods in Dallas! Bunch of posers, unless they're down on lower Greenville at places like Popsicle Toes. lol.. just bustin your chops. If you weren't getting it installed now I'd contact a good friend of mine who runs a stereo and alarm shop here, he's helped me with all my parts, as he's an expert on them and could tell you who has the best functional alarm systems. If you don't get it done this weekend let me know and I'll give him a call. He knows my car inside/out.....

I see in another post, we are apparently too late... I think the job was done today.
