Default Dash removal

First time post, good site. Seems like a lot of info so...............I have an aftermarket stereo I want to instal; how do I remove the dash panel without busting it. On a side note, if I want to upgrade the speakers (which I do eventually) what's an easy way to do this? Thanks in advance for the info

There are two generations of the PT. If you want information you have to tell us more about your cruiser. You can also look in the Tech & Performance section under the thread "HOW TO" with lots of information.

As far as speakers go, there a Sound & Security section that has all the answers on replacing speakers and stereo's.

what year is your car?
if it's a 2nd gen(06-10) then all you have to do is take out one screw from each vent and then pull the AC control bezel from the bottom. but keep this in mind, you will have to connect the ignition wire to a different source like the cigarette lighter. the ac controls, or the master window switch wires wont help, trust me, i've tried.
but if you have a 1st gen(01-05) then it shouldn't be that hard but I don't know about tho's.
