Just had my 4 speakers done at a shop and used now on an amp for the highs. Was going to get them to do the dash speakers too but they wanted $150 Labor to replace them!!!! They were telling me S*** about how the airbag would be in the way and other BS when everyone can see its just a dash top that has to be removed. I know the dash speakers are not hard to get to so it looks like I will be doing them myself....

I would love to meet the guy that needs $150 to remove the dash cover on these cars. Wow, that's insane.
Some people just don't think. |

That does sound really weird, most audio shops I know don't even charge that to install a subwoofer amp and new door speakers.
You got a sick pt man, lol one of the most badass ones I've seen.

dash speakers are insanely easy. Just looking for a buck. Precisely why I've never given a dime to anybody to put anything in my car.
Fitting 3.5"s up there isn't even that hard, just gotta get rid of some trim plastic with the dremel. I even ran new wires up to my dash speakers with no trouble at all. |

Thanks on the PT.... But Ohh I told them hell No On the dash.... You guys should have heard this guy though..."the passenger airbag is a bigg risk for us to even attempt to replace those speakers" LOL!! I installed 3 1/4" Pyramid bullet tweeters in the dash last weekend and it worked using the Dremmel tool, VERY EASY AS STATED and they are SUPER LOUD AlMOST to where its too much. I had to adjust my front speakers lower on my amp...I also fixed some burned out instrument bulbs while I did all that. I felt after doing all of this that day and how the PT came apart like legos, I feel I can do anything now...
The more and more I trick out my car, The less I trust People with it when I get it serviced/upgraded...
