Default Satellite Radio

Does any one know if the 2003 cassette and CD are Sirius sat radio ready? If so, would it be safe to assume that the "Canadian" radio is the same as the US? and I could just buy the tuner for it?

Owner's manual? People read those? I gave it to my wife to read Thechnically it's her car, but I'll be customizing it soon enough. I guess I'll have to read up on it.

I'm pretty sure that if it's Sirius ready there is the Sirius Dog symbol somewhere on it.

Does Sirius sell subscriptions to Canadian residents? (Serious question). I thought I read somewhere that they would only sell subs to US residents... something to do with your broadcast rules up there?

Welcome to the forum and the wonderful world of PT Cruiser obsession!! [?]

It's not technically available for canadian residents, but with a US address, you can get it Activated. I just thought that if the radio would support it, I wouldn't buy a new one. I have the XM pionneer deck in my Pick-up and the sat radio works good. Up in our neck of the woods, it's easy to justify the 10$...we only have 1 AM station and a couple FM ones. The selection realy sucks.

I guess I'll dump some money on a good deck and get another XM subscription for ou PT.

How about the portable unit for XM that can be moved from car to car and also used with their portable boom-box? I've seen these and they are quite neat, even has a built-in antenna so you don't need the external hockey-puck type antenna.

It is pretty cool (portable unit), but I don't want to go thru the FM part in the vehicle. I want to be able to use th radio controls in order to operate the Sat radio. Just me being picky I guess.

Yukonsy....

By the way it warmed up today in the Yukon....Only -30C
