Default New deck

I know members have put in new decks.

What can I expect from unstallation to unwiring to wiring and installation.

How do the HVAC vent knobs come off? Will they come out when the bezel piece pops off.

What about the rear defrost and wiper area panel? Does this come off as well with the bezel panel?

Give me some idea of what to expect, to go through, and the bs.

I have all the parts I need except the knowledge and this I do not want to have to redo.

Kole, the factory deck comes out really easy.
pop the window switch out above the deck, remove the wire harness from that. behind that theres a single screw holding the bezel on, remove that. the heater knobs are a pain cause you cant get a grip on em, but they just pop off, I found its easier to just start pulling the bezel outward a little , then press back in and that pulls the knobs along with it till you can get a grip on em.

after that its 4 screws around the unit holding it in place, slide it out pop the harness and antenna off and its done. you need an adaper to use the antenna on another deck though, the stock one has some wierd reversed plug.

Thank you both for the input. This gives me some of the same installation tips I have but makes me feel better about knowing someone else had good luck.

Jaxpt, I have the anteana harness and the mount pieces they came with my order. Gotta love Crutchfield.

IRPT, Thanks, I have used these guides in my speaker install.
