I just installed a Kenwood Woox under the drivers seat.
Fits nice, in otherwise wasted space. The wires are out of sight under the console... And now I have (literally) kick-butt bass. I keep it throttled down and it is still plenty for me. (Now where did I put that Toccata and Fuque in D Minor CD?) |

Fritz,
Thats the unit I'm looking at also, cause I want some bass but dont know anything about hooking the other systems. So it really sounds pretty good? I have alot of ?'s. When you got it, did it come with everything needed to install(wires, etc). Did you hook into the stock radio? Cause thats how I'm gonna do mine. And how, with RCA plugs or did you do something else. I like the idea of it being under the seat, alot less work to run the wires. The cheapest I found it for is $197, is that good. Any details to help with the install, would be gratefully appreciated. I can't seem to find the thread but if you remember I wanted to do some speakers under the seats as well.
So you bought them. I have many ?'s too. How much did you get them for? I can remember the infor on them either, and these are powered speakers all in one, correct? How do they fit? What type of wiring is required, ex. power, ground, RCA, remote? I think you will be getting alot more questions as people need more bass in thier PT's. Thanks KingKole02

It is very simple to install.
I have mine installed under the driver seat also. If you have the factory radio, it hooks up to the rear speaker wires. If you have a Line Out plug in an aftermarket radio, it also comes with RCA cables. It includes a remote control that I placed inside the Glove compartment. Totaly stealth. because it is under the driver seat, your legs and your booty will shake to the music. It comes with mounting brackets, but I used the ruber pads included, to place them under the unit. it has never moved from under the seat even after hard panic stops where everything else has flown to the front of the car. It took me about two hours to install but half of the time was removing the factory radio from the dash. (You need to remove the AC knobs in order for you to remove the radio cover). Ian

How much did you pay for them. I want two one under each seat. I also would like some decent power. For the price I could go with 2 bazooka 8" at 100 each. They are a better setup though, these speakers the woox.

Around here a Bazooka will cost $125.00, but you need to also buy a power amp and have to place them in the trunk taking space and increasing the volume for it to match the sound of the other speakers. Once you have adjusted all the volumes for your driving confort, the rear seat pasengers will only hear the BOOM from the Bazookas. The Woox is not as loud as the other ones but if placed under the driver seat, it is enough, if no other amps are installed and if all you are looking is for improved audio range. not volume. I also installed four "Cristal" speakers and replaced the factory tweeters on the dash for two high DB tweeters. All of this with the factory radio. Ian
