There isn't a direct drop in for the front. You have to use an adapter. Not sure about the very backs but those adapters should work.

Question Re: would these work

I'm actually gonna use a version of your statement from the earlier thread: "Why wouldnt you just get 6x8 speakers, they dont make them that size?"(You said it first; Not me)....You'll get a little more low-end Hz from the 6x8,and you wont even need an adapter, because they're an exact drop-in for the OEM speakers.(even a 5x7 would be a better choice for rear than 6.75?)
You still need OEM plug adapters, unless you plan on doing a cut-n-splice using the connectors from the new speakers(wiring normally included).
BTW....R/F does have 6x8s,and they are also 3-way:

Chrysler must have changed the door speaker sizes on different model years of the PT, I recently changed all (4) door speakers on mine and all (4) were 6-1/2". These are what I got off ebay, direct replacement for the stock and wiring plugged right in, no modifications necessary.

Yes.....You have a Gen-2 PT(2009),the OP has a Gen-1 PT...(clearly says 2005 in the sig.)
I purchased the Rockford Fosgate R168X2 Prime 6"x8" 2-Way speakers for my rear speakers(located in the D-pillars on Gen-1 PTs):
http://www.ebay.com/itm/ROCKFORD-FOS...item4d182510b4
Those IMO are a better choice than a 3-way,because for staging & imaging, you normally want your highs in the front of the vehicle & as close to ear/head level as possible, and obvoiusly a 2-way will produce less highs than a 3-way(w/extra tweeter).....I actually considered a 6x8 woofer,or 6x8 component set,and maybe place the satellites in the B-pillar(1st choice) or C-pillar(2nd choice)....Maybe,later I might switch to one of those though.

OK, thanks, I knew he had a Gen-1, I just didn't know they changed speaker sizes between Gen-1 and -2. Mine is an '06 Touring Edition.

You can't compare those to regular speakers because those are direct replacements for Chrysler cars. They have the adapters built into them. Normal speakers require adapters.

I bought Rockford Fosgate 6 3/4 speakers and had to have the adapters. The back door speakers screwed in the plastic but the fronts have to have adapters. Again, what you bought are special. No other speaker comes that way.
