Default Double Din Navigation Radio Installed!

Patiently, I have been accumulating audio components in the last few months for a stereo upgrade.

Double Din Dash bezel for 06 and up PT Cruisers
Jensen VX6020 Double Din Navigation Radio
4 Kicker Speakers for the front and rear doors
2 Kicker speakers for the dash
Pac Wire harness for the "Can Bus" electric system
Mopar Sub for the trunk side pocket
Pyle Chrome back up camera (License Plate Mounted)

I found a place on Long Island 370.00 for the install

Sounds great and looks great! Now I have to figure out how use the blue
tooth for my I-pod and phone

Thanks Nitro, the double din bezel seemed like a factory original made for the double din installation. I don't know how or who made it but it was a perfect fit for the up-grade.

I bought it on E-bay a few months ago and I am very pleased....

Thanks Harry, I think a good install/upgrade for those of us who missed the navigation radio generation on the newer cars!

This install really looks like a very nice upgrade! My only concern would be with the full weight of a radio being supported by just the mounting points on the bezel, since any new double din unit is not mounted to the dash in the same way that an OEM unit would be. The below link shows a bezel available on Ebay and some installation pics.

I appreciate your concern. I'll be sure to let you know if any thing goes bad. Meanwhile I'll try to enjoy the radio..lol

Is the OEM stereo considered a double din unit, height wise, and this double din bezel have the same opening for the stereo, less the cutouts on the left and right for the knobs? Or does installing a double din unit require some structure of the dash, behind the bezel, to be removed to accommodate a double din unit? The OEM stereo sits on a shelf in the dash structure. This is a nice looking upgrade and I might consider it, but I really don't want to remove some of the dash structure if that has to be done. Thanks.

The licence plate lamp doesn't cast any glare on the backup camera? I have a similar camera, and am contemplating putting it on the bottom of the plate...
