Default Wiring codes

Does anyone have the speaker wire color codes for a 2004 PT GT? I'm looking for the coding and the door and rear pillar speakers only.

Thanks.....Chupacabra

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the info BLH1 and thanks for the welcome IRPT. One last question and then I'm ready to start working on the system. Does anybody (especially from experience) know where the best place(s) to splice into the door and rear pillars speakers is (are)? Thanks and I'll let the forum know how things turned out.

Adios....Chupacabra

For the doors easiest is before the bundles reaches the pass-through for each door.

For the rears it depends on what you're doing. If you're adding an amp that will be housed under the front seats the best place is right under trim plastic trim next to the door sills. That's where the bundles run towards the back. There's a fair amount of room under there for wires/connectors. If you're mounting the amp in the back the easiest place is to pull the rear pillar speaks and tie in there.

The pinout I have found is as follows:
1st the 10 pin connector to Multiplexor
(or CD Changer or Sirius if you only have one
BTW: Sirius does not display INFO in these config.
at least it didn’t for me...)[xx(]
# 1 Audio R # 6 Audio L
# 2 Audio Gnd # 7 Batt Gnd
# 3 Shield # 8 (Spare)
# 4 J1850 # 9 PWD
# 5 ACC/IGN #10 Batt +

Next the 22 pin connector to Speakers Etc.
#11 Batt #22 Batt
#12 ACC #23 Radio ON Out
#13 PWD #24 J1850
#14 (Spare) #25 EVA Mute
#15 (Spare) #26 (Spare)
#16 (Spare) #27 (Spare)
#17 RF+ #28 LR+
#18 RF- #29 LR-
#19 LF- #30 RR-
#20 LF+ #31 RR+
#21 GND #32 GND

Be very careful with the color code I have found many differences.
Peace
JC
