Changing Dash COLOR

Has anybody switched out the clear minibulbs in the instrument panel, HVAC, and window switches to get some other color other than aqua? I saw there were plastic aqua/green slivers in the HVAC knobs, so getting another color may prove involved and yes I know about the billet knobs out there ($$).

Doesn't necessarily have to be LEDs (actually would prefer incandescent so they don't flicker).

What are to ricer part numbers for these dinky bulbs? Would a colored bulb - like blue - even look good through the aqua?

I have a blue LED on my keychain and aimed it at the speedo. Very cool [?]. Maybe I'll just somehow mount 3 bulbs in the gauge cluster. Anybody have any other ideas?

I read a post from someone who had a bulb burn out in the cluster, said it was a PITA to get at, and decided to change all the bulbs rather than go thru it again. An idea - Radio Shack sells clear plastic caps - usually red, yellow, green - you could put those over stock bulbs. I'm partial to red, myself - did it on another car, but not the PT.
