Default Power Antenna

Does anybody have a power antenna installed on their PT? If so where did you get it from?

Ran across this DIY install as another option for you. Like you, I may do this also if I'm unable to find a shorty that works better than than one installed on the PT now. Http://www.carnut.com/iown/ant.HTML

I wanted to do this. My antenna is shot. I can only get a short one or a manual long one, but the last one snapped off.

It looks so tricky to do.

I took my 04 through the carwash because I did my 2010 with no problems. About halfway through I looked over and couldn't see the antenna, it was bent but not broken. A power antenna is certainly in my future or the "no touch" nozzle type car wash from now on... Or I could just wash it myself I guess.

Well my power antenna turned up today. Someone stole my other antenna, so disgusted, so I thought I may as well get the one I wanted.

I didn't find it easy at all to fit, it kept catching on the door, but its in now.

Tomorrow I will do the electrics, though I can't see where the wires go through at all lol.

I am totally a man with a plan as you can guess. I am not winging it in the least.

Guys, I need help. So I got the power antenna in, got the wires through etc and plugged it in and fine, receiving signal etc. However, there are two wires to operate the antenna going up and down which it says to link to the power switch.

Problem is there is no access to the power switch and even opening up the radio it is encased in plastic.

So where did everybody else plug in the wires to operate the antenna?

Not sure what antenna you bought. Mine was one wire for the ground and one for the radio power out to operate the antenna. If are using the stock radio you need to find the wiring diagram for your radio to see what wire is for power out. I know it has been posted before.
What radio are you using?
