Default New Radio install tip

I recently upgraded my factory PT radio (2003 Touring Edition) with one that plays MP3 disks. The installation instructions called to mate the Scosche CR02B wire harness adapter to the Jensen harness using solder and heat shrink. Now, I have access to that stuff, but what a pain. So I went to Radio Shack and bought a 274-680 and made the connection using only a screw driver.

There was more than enough room to use double stick tape to hold it to the top of the head unit - making sure not to cover any air holes.

You also need a Metra 40-CR10 Antenna Adapter and Metra face adapter (I can't find the bag for the PN, but I'll find out.)
I got all my stufff from Lucid Automotive. I'm sure he'll treat you right too.

Yea, and it only costs $2.29. Completely insulated too. What I liked most is that if you strip the wires long enough, they get clamped down by both screws. Just make sure the loose ends don't come out the other side. <img src=icon_smile_shock.gif border=0 align=middle>
