Default Question about "random" function on 6-CD Changers

I'll find out one of these days when I make a trip, but am curious about whether the random function switches between CDs on a 6-Cd changer. I installed one in my '05 Cruiser a few months ago, but haven't tried random yet with more than one CD in the Changer. It's a Chrysler unit from another PT.

I've never tried it, but I wouldn't...it would take 20-30 to switch back & forth.

I thought that might be the case. It does take time to switch between CDs, for sure.

if it's a decent setup, it should be able to read and buffer enough audio to make that 20-30 second delay non existent. i mean if i designed a 6 disk changer, it would change from track to track smoothly and in a timely fashion.

It is a stock Chrysler unit. we'll see how it does.

Good point.

Thanks.
