Default cant get past step one....

Is there some trick to getting the screws out (inside the vents) so I can get the center panel off to replace the stereo????? I have been trying all the phillips head screwdrivers that I have and these things wont budge...the driver spins off and I feel like Im going to break thru the back. Its kind of like they used locktite or something to that effect. So any suggestions?????
Thanks

i used my little makita impact driver. overkill for sure, but sure is easy.

it shouldn't be that hard with a decent screwdriver. try putting a vise grip (or channel locks)on the screwdriver handle so you can push harder and turn easier.

after re-reading that...
**by screws in the vents i think you need to remove the window switch and turn the screw behind there instead. there's no screws in the vents

Try NOT to use screw drivers to pry plastic parts.

Hey Rob, channel lock idea worked on the passenger side Thank You for that. Tomorrow I will see if someone has a impact driver that will fit the drivers side. Thanks again
