I have the base PT 2003 model with AM\FM CD unit.
Can anyone tell me what the speaker brand is in this model? Also who makes the radio ?
Thanks

i have no idea about the speakers, they suck anyway, but ive heard that the radio is made by alpine, although a low level alpine at that.

Not sure if the speakers are the same from the 2001 -2003, but my "premium" speakers were manufactured by "audiolatina." The stock cd/cassette player is manufactured by Mitsubishi Electric. Hope this helps.

Are the rear speakers 6x9 ?
I'm thinking about installing Infinity 9603i speakers in the rear but am concerned about fit, these Infinity speakers have a deep profile about 4 inches because they have a huge magnet on them.
Thanks

I just installed infinity 6802cf for the rear, and the 6002i for the front, they sound great, and went in just fine. No amp or aftermarket head unit, and the difference is exponential. I believe that the head unit is either kenwood or alpine, and the same for the speakers.

I upgraded my speakers and then deck. I used the Pioneer replacements as listed at Crutchfield. I was amazed at how much better just the speaker upgrades made it sound. Stock in the doors are 6.5" woofers, with the dash tweeters. The rears are 5x8.

I eventually upgraded the deck, added tweeters in the dash and a kenwood WooX sub under the seat. Very happy with it all. If you want pics or details let me know.

Mike
