The PT was meant for stereo upgrades. The panels all just pop off, the only thing that needs to be unscrewed is the small armrest/handle on the door panel. The panel should then just pop off. It will take some doing, as the panel is held in place pretty tightly on the back. Some force will be needed to take them off, but don't overdo as you will bend/warp/scratch the panel if you use too much force. All other panels, pillars, etc, just pop right off. The center console is the harder of the panels to remove. You have to just pry out the window controls, and then disconnect them. Once you've taken out the switches, there should be a screw right there that needs to be taken out. Once that's done, all you do is pry off the panel. The AC knobs will need to come off as well. It's easy to put everything back in, all the panels just pop on. The only tools you need is a philips head screwdriver, a flathead screwdriver, and optionally an actual stereo installation prying tool (I'm sure there's a shorter name for it, but it's a small flat piece of metal that is covered in rubber to pry off the panels.) Any more questions, or somethings not working right, come on back.

I would say the hardest piece to remove is that trim piece around the rear seat belts. The star torx screw in torqued nasty. Had to use the force to remove that one. And the head board, I think that would be hard.

They have complete instructions with pics at www.ptdiy.net, but some people do not like paying the few bucks for subscription. I find it helpfull and go there for info before doing any mod. If you will cover shipping I will burn a CD manual, say $5 and I can priority mail it over,

Mike
