Default APC PT Cruiser sub set-up

http://www.crutchfieldadvisor.com/IS...ptcruiser.html

I've been eyeing this set-up for a while now and I'm thinking of trying to replicate it myself. I will most likely go for a more covert set-up. Right now I'm planning on mounting my amp under the driver's seat and just having the sub box in the back. From the pictures they have, it looks like the sub box is just a shelf and from the looks of the colored plexyglass, it doesn't appear to have any separation for the two different subs. Anyone actually seen this setup before, tried it themselves? I'd loved to get some dimensions and I wonder how much interior volume it actually has. Any ideas?

Hmm, I was hoping to get at least one response. The plan for now is to build a box that will take up pretty much the entire floor under the shelf on the first level. It would be about 7 inches high, 20 inches deep and 40 inches across (pretty rough estimates, interior volume will be less). With those dimensions you get about 1.6 cubic feet per sub (2 tens). This should be plenty even after you account about 20% of the interior gone because of the unit itself (1.3 cubic feet then). Obviously the speakers will have to face up and I won't keep the shelf on top of the box when I'm using it.

Anyone have any advice, corrections, suggestions, etc?

Thanks,
Ryman
