Looking to put a sub(s) in my Cruiser. Not looking for anything dramatic, just some added bass. Am I better with a powered tube or should I go with a couple of speakers and an amp?
I already have a music keg under my drivers seat. Where would be the best place to put the amp if I go that route? Thanks. |

I would recommend a box and amp. I've got mine attached to the back of the box, as seen below. I've had the same setup for more than a year now, and the amp has yet to come loose or rattle at all. The good thing about buying an individual amp and sub (versus a self powered unit) is being able to upgrade if you want to.

It's made by "Bazooka" The product itself has been discontinued but there's plenty of places still selling it...here's a couple. http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAu...roductID=12335 http://shopping.yahoo.com/p:Bazooka%...ker:1991242707

Hey Crewzin...
How do you like the Bazooka NOS tank. Found one at a locale Auto Parts store and was thinking of picking it up... It's a powered sub right?? No need for a separate amp... |

No, it's not self-powered. You have to have a separate amp to run it. Unless you are just going for looks, I wouldn't invest in it.

Crewzin,
I wasn't trying to make a knock against you, I'm sorry if I came off that way. I have just never really liked the NOS subs, dunno why, just haven't. I just don't see investing a lot of money for a sub if you're not really going for looks. To each his own I suppose.

I ordered the Bazooka sub also, but have not put it in yet. Ordered it mainly because I have ZEX NOS also, and the sub look identical to the NOS bottle. I ordered the purple version, just like my ZEX NOS bottle. It will be installed next to the NOS bottle. I think they look great, as they do not look like every other Sub box out there obviously. You have something very unique that hardly anyone else has. If you want to be like everyone else, you can get an ordinary box, which, looks ordinary. I thought the Bazooka sub was powered on its own and I did not need an amp. I see by reading this, that it is not, and I will have to get an amp. Thanks.
