Default definately "new to stereos" question

i know this is dumb, but how exactly do you go about removing the head unit. I looked through the manual breifly and didnt find it. This is for my friends car, im looking for a line in in the back so that i can hook up her MP3 player into it. If anyone has any info for me, please let me know. Thanks

give the window controls a good yank and they will come out ( the entire assembly) carefully unhook the wires. Give the ac knobs a good yank they will come off. remove the screws ( one on the top middle and i think there are two more at the bottom. give the entire bezle a good yank and it snaps out. as i recall this is how you get to the stereo.

*the cruiser is mostly snap-tite*

is the factory radio still in there?? if so, you will need an fm modulator. if its aftermarket with aux inputs, than you just need a mini plug-to-rca adapter found at radioshack.also, if its an aftermarket radio it snaps into a cage. all you need to get it out is the security keys that came with the radio. or take it to any car audio shop, if theyre cool, they will just pop it out for no charge.

hope this helps
