Installing Power Door Locks

I searched the forum but didn't find anything specific to my inquiry so here goes...

I moved to the Dallas area about eight months ago from So Cal, and have been unable to find a shop that can install automatic door locks. I have an '03 base model and would love to have power locks, especially for the hatch. It seemed like in So Cal, every stereo shop and every Best Buy or Good Guys had people that installed locks. I've called one or two Best Buys here in the Metroplex and have been told they don't do installs like this (nor do they sell power lock kits).

Does anyone know of a good power door lock product?

Does anyone know where in the DFW Metroplex to have it installed?

I also have a cruddy alarm from the stealership with the bogus "key"/ ignition kill to be removed.

If none of these can help yo ulet me know. I used to go to dallas almost everyweekend when we were stationed in OK. My wife has family there.

The DFW area has one of the biggest markets for vehicle customization in the united states. Anything you want done you can find there. So there IS somewhere to get it done.

Espresso - Thanks again! I checked with the guys at madfish and I'm going to get my windows tinted for about $70 less (metalized tint) than I was originally quoted by a company in Addison (and $200 less than quotes from California, when I was living there less than one year ago).

Looks like they'll be getting my business. They do body work and paint also!

Haven't heard back from them about the locks yet; I assume they're looking into it. I inquired about some work on my wife's vehicle too. I'll keep you posted.

I'm in the process of installing the AutoLoc KL550 with GT2000 actuators. The KL550 is in and fuctioning, the front doors are working. I also have the components to do the rest of the car when I get some more energy.

One thing to consider when you flip the DIY coin, NObody is going to do the job like you can.
