Oh, I completely understand it for families and if multiple passengers ride in the car frequently, but to be the only person who ever rides in the car and have TVs in the back of the headrest which you can't see while you're driving, that's what I don't get. I think it would be neat to watch a movie in the back seat of my car, but I doubt if I would ever do it when I have a perfectly good living room with a much bigger seat.

LOL thats true. But they'll be turned off when no one's watching. Have you ever gotten behind one of those SUVs late at night on the interstate and seen a movie playing right through there tinted windows? Its very distracting. I have to laugh though, because sometimes I speed up so I can watch too.[8)]

Sorry, PT Lilly,
I didn't mean to cross swords with you, nor did I mean you personally. Your quote above is what I was saying myself. I'm not against the idea of video in cars and I think it can be a classy addition to both street driven and show cars.

I seem to live in a pocket of the country with an abundance of people who will ALWAYS drive everywhere they go with those things turned on. Flame me if you want but I think that's low class no matter how expensive the car or video system.

I see by your comment above that you are not one of those so put away your sword and do what you will with your PT Cruiser with my blessings.

I plan on installing a video system for my daughter...she is kind of small and not always seen from the outside of the car. Maybe that is what is happening when you see what appears to be empty back seats?! I think they are great additions to cars now-a-days.

Enjoy the ride.[8]

I think the Alpine system sounds sweet. I had the old D900 head unit with the 7" Screen before the touch screen came out and it looked the best and sounded better then any other unit I had in there. The D901 replaced it and should be the same quilty. The touch screen one I think the picture is not as good, but I have not had time to check it out. Stick with the Alpine and you will be ok.

I've installed a 7 inch widescreen tv/monitor:

The antenna for tv is mounted on the glass at the pillar post.
A rear passenger can easily view the screen as well as the front passenger.

Also have a 4 inch rearview mirror monitor:

This monitor came with a rearview camera that activates when shifted into reverse. But, I'm having a problem picking the right spot for the camera...it's bigger than I would have liked.

The DVD player is mounted under the drivers seat:

My job requires alot of idle time so this system works well for me. Seinfeld DVD's and movies help pass the time. And with the seemingly never ending threats of hurricanes, checking the local weather radar is a plus.

Fick you man(instead of the other word)! No I'm not going to be driving around for all the world to see. You know I'm just asking. And don't be ripping on a mother's love either. Someone should take out that _it out of your mouth. Don't hate on me. I think it would be great. I'm not asking you to cruise in my PT. However I did listen to what you had to say though, no matter how rude.

All I'm saying is I've seen them young and old do it up, there are more of us out there probably more old than young! Its a sound and security forum for crying out loud. No one put a gun to your head and told you to read it.
Wow! Got a little temper and a potty mouth with attitude.

Showing off the bling bling. Cheesy, immature........probably but it makes me happy so screw it.
