Unhappy 344 code

my wife has a 2003 pt cruiser manual trans non-turbo 80,000 miles. check engine light came on lost power then came right back. checked codes at brothers shop code 344. changed cam sensor and pulse ring behind sensor. did not fix the problem. so we straight wired the 5volt power supply and the signal wire as well, to eliminate the wire question.ran good for a couple of days then same thing 344 code and loss of power. do i need to reflash ecm or replace since i have eliminated sensor and wire problem? thanks

the crank position sensor, will throw a p0344 code. it's located in the block above the starter.

Thanks!

I am getting these before the reset"
  • P0129 Bad barometric pressure sensor (MAP Sensor?)
  • P0344 Camshaft Position Sensor "A" Circuit Intermittent Bank 1 or Single Sensor
  • P0335 Crankshaft Position Sensor "A" Circuit
  • P0122 Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch "A" Circuit Low

Afterward just the P0344 and p0335 so it sounds like some common power line, bad crank position sensor or a connector.
We will see...
