Return To The Beach V - The Tradition Continues

Charity Event with Proceeds to be donated to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society


After Myrtle Beach IV we’ve been brainstorming on how to improve Myrtle Beach V and this is what we’ve come up with:

As it is obvious we’ve outgrown the Wave Rider Hotel, we solicited the help of the Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce, and bids were submitted by hotels who were interested in hosting MB V. After personally touring several of the hotels interested, we selected the Red Roof Inn, 2801 South Kings Highway, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina 29577, (843) 626-4444, (843) 626-0753 (fax), email: i0232@redroof.com. There were many deciding factors in making this decision. There is parking at the hotel for up to 240 cruisers. The hotel is very private with lots of trees, shading and a great picnic area. The hotel is two blocks from the beach. There is space for the vendors to set up in the parking area. This three story hotel is pet friendly, and last, but not least, room rates will be only $30.00/night.

For the 2nd year in a row, the Grand Strand Humane Society have requested their annual Pet Parade be held the same day as our car show. This is the only day that pets are allowed at Broadway At The Beach. Since the host hotel is pet friendly, this is a great chance to bring your pets and show them off at the pet parade.

For the first two years the cars were displayed on the North side of Celebrity Square. Because of the tremendous growth of this event, Broadway At The Beach has agreed to let us display our cruisers on both sides of the bridge. Naturally, the Southern cars will be on the South side and the Northern cars will be on the North side.

During the month of October, Broadway At The Beach averages 10,000 visitors a day. If you’ve haven’t attended our event, this is the most unbelievable location for a PT show. There is great shopping, fabulous restaurants and activities for the entire family.

HOW DO WE TOP LAST YEAR’S AWARDS CEREMONY?
This year the Awards banquet will be held at Ripley’s Aquarium at Broadway At The Beach. Touring the aquarium will be included in our dinner price. More details to follow.
