Everybody. If your looking for the NGK plugs that are recommended by Mopar, for the Stage 1, go to http://www.ngk.com The plugs from this company are $6.95 each. Also they have the NGK plugs and NGK
10mm high perfomance wire set complete for $79.95. that's not a bad deal at all!

CSX, make sure you close that gap on those NGK's. They come .052" and what most here recommend is around .038". I personally did mine @ .040" after trying the factory gap first.

My NGK Iridiums have not missed a beat and gaped at the factory wide setting of .052.[?]

WOW! That's a huge gap! I know they must be very smooth, but believe it or not, if you gap them down to .028, not only will the car be smooth as silk but you will get a real nice power boost from them. Not a bad way to get an extra 5hp or so, huh? [?]

Remember though, .028 is really for a high powered car, like 350+hp. Below that you may develop a misfire which will cause your car to run very rich. .033 is really ideal for applications without a big turbo. If you get rid of your muffler and resonators, you can hear the misfires loud and clear if you run your gap at .028. It will give you great top end, but lousy low end.

Not with the iridium plugs. Several of us are running them that low with NO miss whatsoever. And only 1 of them has a big turbo. Iridium plugs work better with a tighter gap. If you use a wideband A/F gauge you would see that you won't run any richer than normal if you run them at .028. On the other hand, you would be correct if we were talking about the copper plugs.

Thats a definite. Still happens sometimes with iridiums too though. The stock exhaust system is great at hiding it because can't hear the misfires and pops in the exhaust from the unburnt fuel. So, an aftermarket exhaust would really be the only audible way to tell while you were driving. I didn't know it was happening until a friend told me when i passed him on the street at wide open throttle and this was before i put my downpipe and exhaust on. [:0] Told me is sound like the car was spitting up on itself and sounded nasty. [V]
