Default Stage 1 '05 in an '03?

Anyone know what the difference would be between the 03 and 05 model that stage one for 03 is 260tq and for 05 its 275tq? is it new programming or simply the different manifold?[:I] And anyone think an '05 kit would install on an '03?

Can't give specifics but I remember when the '04 turbo lite came out and they tried to put in a '03 S1 in it and the AC and cruise control didn't work. Programming changed. Don't know if there were other changes but I don't think it will work. Besides, with the mods you have you are already beyond that.

Yeah, i know, just wanted so see if i could raise my base numbers a bit, before all the other mods. but if the extra 15lbs of tq are purely because of the manifold, then i am good to go,cause i just put it in.

Just curious - I have an '05 with the new (plastic) manifold that I've just upped to Stage 1 - can you feel any noticeable difference since installing the plastic manifold?

Also, what did you gap your V-Powers at?

Yeah i did notice a difference, but not sure if i am leaning out too much though, gotta get on a wideband to find out. and my gap on my ngk's is .033. Works the greatest, just ask around if they think otherwise in my ability to tune. [8]

Okay, thanks... Noted that NGK recommends .52 which seemed way too much...

Saw it posted last night but can't find where it was. NGK recommends not gapping Irridium plugs below .044.
