Default Stage 1 question

If you install the stage 1 and then down the road you decide to take it off and install the factory pcm box do you have to have it reflashed or just reinstall the old one and move on...

You do not have to do the auto relearn or have anything flashed for the Automatic trans when you switch back and forth, the shift settings are in the PCM, not the trans when you put the S0 back in it will shift normal, and when you put the S1 back in it will have the upgraded shifts and the mileage is not programmed in the PCM, it is put in a data base when you order it so that DC knows when you installed it.

Yeah, everything from 2003 forward uses the NGC controller, whereas the TCM is integrated into the PCM. That said, since the 41te is an adaptive transmission, it is always learning. Drive real hard for 100 miles and it learns that and shifts accordingly. Drive like Grandma and it learns that, too, and your mileage will go up. That said, anytime you make a change a signifigant change to the power of the engine, you should do a quicklearn. Or, you can just burn up your clutchpacks and join the throng bitching about Chrysler trannies.....

here's a link: http://www.mopar.com/street/products_ptturbo_stage1.htm

That should explain it. It's also the base for evry major power mod, ie, boost controller, upgraded WGA, DTEC, PPQ, 50 trim, etc...
