Hi Guys,
you need to buy the fuel from the same vendor, and ideally from the same station to do mileage analyses, as the octane rating has a federal allowance of an unbelievable 18% accuracy. Note that higher octane = lower milage as octane is an efficiency inhibitor. Why...That same gas truck may go to all different type of gas stations.....Not like back in the old days when each gas company had ther own gas trucks...
