Default All this ... and the Fuel Economy improves?

My fuel economy improved from ~18.5 mpg to 22.5 mpg - a 22% improvement, hopefully it holds up... not a bad trade for going to 93 octane.

No way. Won't happen. Maybe I should be running 100 octane in the srt. [?]

Platinum turbo. Isn't that a 180 hp turbo lite that is supposed to be running on 87 octane?

I stopped selecting gears myself and let the transmission make all the decisions, not hopping in and out of 3 and L seems to improve things considerably.

P.S. Best highway I've ever seen was 26.5 mpg. That was with a K&N FIPK and plain old turbo lite. I've got a road trip in 4 weeks we'll see if we can beat that.

I know you've recently added Stage 1.....are you saying your mileage improved since adding it and now you have more power and better fuel economy?

I put Stage 1 on my Lite so early on I don't really know what my "stock" fuel economy was!!![:I]

Not to burst your bubble, but I found my MPG hopped around when I was figuring it for each tank - only if you figure mileage over a couple thousand miles do you get an acurate reading.
I'm at 26 MPG overall - I only really push the pedal when I'm passing someone.

Hey well 26 MPG is better than my 20 MPG so I think it's high time I get stage 1.

Fuel economy might be slightly better with Stage 1, but if you're looking to justify the purchase, it won't work. Your wife is not that dumb.

The power and drivability are better, more than any other mod I've made to a car, but fuel economy won't work.

I was hoping for a small increase in mileage with stage 1 but I haven't seen it. Although the performance increase was great, my mileage in everyday driving hasn't changed at all.
