I think you guys might get more power out of yours being that your stock boost level is only 5psi where as ours is 11psi. So if they raise your boost up past 11psi as im guessing it will do on the srt, then you will yeild more HP.

Are you saying our max boost is only 5psi stock? I was under the impression (by reviews) that the motors were quite similar, less the intake runners.

How much do you think the cost might be for dealer installation so everything would be covered under warranty?
I have the same question. Does the $399 cover both parts and install? [:I]

Don668,
I believe Exhaust Depot is refering to boost in first gear only. On my 5-spd my boost gage needle moves between 5-7 lbs. boost in first gear. Once 2nd or higher gear is engaged the boost will climb up to a maximum of 13 lbs. boost, but others are claiming they are reaching 14 lbs. maximum with the stock factory setup.

Ok guys I have to disagree with DSM mike here. This isn't a 20 minute job by any means. You get the gaskets because you have to remove the intake manifold (upper portion) to access the fuel rail. If you follow the service manual they even recommend draining coolant as they recommend pulling the top radiator hose and thermostat housing. This may not be for the average person . In addition since you're removing these things I also believe a torque wrench would be needed also. I ordered my kit today but I haven't obtained a price for installation ,yet.

Once we get an afirmative response on whether or not DC will warrant the engine with these specific modifications, the do-it-yourself people like me will be empowered. Case law supports free choice for service maintaining warranty.
I appreciate my dealer, but I got zapped on the initial checkup for $40.00 to rotate the tires etc. ending in a $200.00 oil change. I am just afraid of a $500.00 or more, service fee for installing something that I can do in my driveway on a weekend (my 17 year old son would love this).

Hey Kirby, they already told us, if the said part is not the proven cause of a problem, the Warranty is not affected. That is per DC.
Im sure that you would do the upgrade with much more care than the dealer just cause its your car. Damn $40 to rotate the tires....Dealers suck!!
And anyway - you know you want it.....so go for it! Break out those tools! Just make sure you take some pics to share...

But Gsharrock and FlashBk2, damn you dont waste any time!!! Keep us posted! Im ordering when you guys are rockin!! And we want DETAILS!!
Were on our way to 300 HP!!!

Oh and does anybody know the size (and pressure) of our stock injectors?? And is it 2 different PCMs for the PT and SRT?

Only 5psi,I was under the impression our Cruisers have 12.9 max boost. Am I wrong here?[:I]

The new Intake Manifold Gasket is a good hint that the performance will be increased past what can be expected at near stock boost levels.
The only reason for this gasket is because you have to remove the intake manifold to access the fuel rail. This will not make any diference in performance. It is not the Head gasket.

Just a clarification.

Ian

Ok guys mine is on order! I also visited with the dealer's service manager who was less than helpful and clueless . First he didn't know anything about it,what to charge for install, and claimed it would void warranty . He recommended I contact DC which I have done via email. Reguardless of outcome it's going on my car if I have to install it, so be it. I have the tools, documentation, and know-how to accomplish this. If the price was right I'd still let dealer do it . Based on my previous experiences, I would say this is 1.5 -2.0 hour job .

Rob I don't know size, pressure is in 57-59 lb range per my gauge . The pcm 's are different between SRT and GT that's according to Hector (Exhaust Depot) who posted he's got unique instructions for each when installing TT and such.
