The dealer lies. Haynes Speed Shop is run out of a dealership in Virginia and they sell it for $440. I wouldn't have the dealer install it or you are going to pay another $250+ by the time it is installed. Install it yourself.

The only thing the mileage does is let Chrysler know when you installed it in your car.

Thanks, I kind of figured that was the case - that they were lying to me on that part. I was planning to install it myself - I just wanted included in my purchase price as the "deal-sealer" but because the kit "costs them" $549 they were not willing to do the deal. If that PCM costs the dealer more $200 I would be very surprised.

Go make your best deal then tell them you want a deal on the stage one. If they don't budge start heading for the door. You might be surprised how fast they change their mind. Especially if it's the last day of the month.
