Default Stage One. Help please.

I have a modified autostick 2005 Pt Cruiser GT. I have a K&N Cold Air intake, Magnaflow free flowing exhaust, Eibach springs, and Tokico shocks and struts. I want to get a S1 and I wanted to know wheres the best/cheapest place to buy one for the 2005 auto, and how much you where charged to have it installed.

Tommy at Haynes Speed Shop has great prices.

HaynesSpeed Shop :: Chrysler PT Cruiser :: Turbo Upgrades :: PT Cruiser Stage 1 Turbo Upgrade Kit

It'll take 30 minutes to switch out the pcm. Then you can do the easy tranny learn yourself or have the dealer do it through the OBII port. The tranny learn has to be done right away and not really drive without it. If you have the dealer do the tranny learn then switch out the pcm at the dealer yourself and then have the dealer do the tranny learn or switch out the pcm and go to a place close by where you can open it up a bit and do the tranny learn yourself. If you do the tranny learn it is a series of running the car up to a certain mph to get the tranny to learn the new shift points. It's easy to do the whole thing yourself.

Alright. So if I bring it to a shop or the dealer and have them put it in and then they can follow the guide lines and do the tranny learn for me? I'd hate to mess up somehow and having someone to blame for it helps.

By the way, what do you mean "do it through the OBII port"?

It's under the dash to the left of the steering column. It's where a mechanic can troubleshoot, flash your pcm and program certain functions.

Only take it to the dealer for the tranny learn. As far as I know an independent shop can't do it.
