Ok..Lemmie get this straight.

Stage 1 upgrades computer so you can run at 16.5 PSI w/o error codes?
So with my MBC, running 15 psi, getting codes...my engine is actually ok? Its my computer? [:I]
Most likely you're getting codes because the MBC causes high levels of boost at partial throttle. If you use an EBC, you can program it to reduce boost during partial throttle (connect to TPS reading) which will eliminate the error code.

So, what does it do to the Rev Limit? Is it still at 6000 or did they move it up a bit? Damn that comes so fast in first and second gear.

Setting aside the warranty issues, what sort of changes in drivability do you see?

The power curve seems to indicate that the power band is at least a wide and smoother, does this seem to be true?

In stock mode, premium fuel helps, presumably because the detonation detector limits boost. Does the Stage 1 Require Premium?

Does fuel mileage suffer?

I have been told that the fuel air portion has not been altered, so it should smog out just like stock. AND since deceleration is NOT part of the DEQ cycle,(Idle, low RPM under load, Medium RPM under load)the New kit should pass sniffer with flying colors!
Since your fuel air ratio is the same, the only thing that will change mileage is that heavy right foot of yours!

Because we know that nothing comes without a price, what are the trade-offs with this kit?

Or do the horse power gains come from "greater efficiency"?

On the question some had concerning cat damage. There are maybe three ways of cat destruction; over rich fuel condition( vapors build up and temperature of cat causes detonation of fuel), anti-freeze or oil deposits, or hitting something in roadway to cause damage to ceramic bricks in cat. Hope this helps.

Under normal driving can you tell the stage 1 is there, I mean does the car feel stronger, or do you have to put your foot in it to notice?

So tell me what the purpose is then of changing the injectors when the fuel mapping has remained the same??? Also in that case it's basically performing the same function as a boost controller and will also run just as lean???

The service manager at the local Chrysler dealer says the Stage 1 mod will not void the warranty.

However, no car is warrantied against "abuse"

COP TZER, the computer is still trying to achieve the optimal AF ratio. It is just with bigger injectors it will be capable of delivering more fuel in high demand situations where the stock injectors would lean out and cause the computer to back down the timing or boost to stay within safe parameters. There is no point in supplying more fuel in other situations. Running too rich does not increase performance. It is a delicate balance of air and fuel in the right proportions that result in the greatest return.
