s1 question on 03

well i finally got 500 saved up to get my stage1 and was hopingto go well my newly insalled big intercooler andboost controller and called haynes it turns out the kit forthe 03 manual trans is $640 on the web and when i called theysaidit was $760,however does the 03 srt-4 upgrade fit on the pt since they are basecal;ly the same engine and the upgrades lookidentical thanks

Sorry, SRT-4 Stage 1 will not work on a PT. Programming is not the same.

I haven't priced S1's for a while but that seems awful high. I would keep an eye out a used one that you can send out to Flight Systems for reprogramming. I can't imagine why the manual would be more than a auto anyhow. It's all the same kit, just different programming and hookups. Actually less on the manual.

Sound like Haynes has reverted back to the typical dealer BS since Tommy left.

Keep an eye on the "haves and have nots" forum on the PTcrew website or search some more on the internet for a better price if you want one right now.

i wasjust doing some browsing if i get the kenell bell optimizer II and some new injectors would that be the same as a stage 1 since the main thing is calibration of the injector for fuel thansk

lol;;; sorry about that i type really fast and my keyboards space bar is messed up;;; again i was just doing some browsing and thinking if i get the kenell bell optimizer II which they advertice will do on paper pretty much the same as what the pcm stage 1 does and some new injectors would that be the same as a mopar stage 1, again my background is in old school muscle i have owned mustangs all my life and there wasent so much thinking required to bring out some ponys just trying to learn a bitmore on this 4cyl turbo which i find pretty exciting, my current mods are a really big intercooler along with all the pipes that came with the IC , downpipe strait thru 3" and short ram intake also 3" and a boost controller set for 11psi also should i put a wastegate so it would hold the boost longer. Any other mods you guys can think of opinions are appriciated thanks

Don't waste your money. KB is no where near S1. I don't care what KB says, they do not have the decompiled code to modify, they just try to "fool" the computer, which is notoriously unsuccessful. I wouldn't take KB's word on it anyhow. They are notoriously difficult to work with and you will be on your own.
