I am equally confused, and the PVO guys reportedly (and begrudgingly) did admit they liked Hector's 3" system. The only down side I can see is the possibility of low end torque loss due to larger volume escape route and the possibility of the exhaust gas cooling to the point that it becomes more dense and actually creating higher back pressure before it fully exits the system. Then again, Mopar/PVO are looking at an optional Cat Back system in their Stage II prototype, and they may be advising against aftermarket exhaust so they get a shot at it... It is a speed density system, and can only react to the data ranges programmed into the look-up tables. In a speed density world, it is like the Federation Archives; if it isn't in the Archives (look-up tables) it does not exist. This is a deviation of the "head in the sand" theory of survival used by some life forms that have either already become extinct or are facing extinction. Unfortunately for us, speed density is cheaper to produce; need I say more? |

Thanks for that update. Keep us informed. I am hoping to see some of the 5 speed Stage I kits that were all supposed to be delivered before June 15th start to trickle into the system. Guess they really got lost deep in the shuffle, or us GT owners are getting the red headed stepchild treatment. Doesn't seem to be a flow shortage on the SRT-4 side of the house since the first of this week... How are the BOV Conversion Kits coming? Have they started shipping yet? |

I exchanged emails with UNIQTWIN (Mopar/PVO rep) last week and she told me that PT GT Stage 1 kits (including mine
) would ship out this week. Perfect timing as I'll probably get it while my GT is in the body shop for 7 working days getting repaired from an accident today! [xx(]

I just got an update from UNIQTWIN/TURBO G - the installation instructions for our Stage 1 was just approved by the legal dept yesterday and they have been forwarded for inclusion with the kit. The ECU's will be burned today for shipment. HOOYAH! Mine will be in the first batch! [8)]

So, based on what Dalite has said concerning the stage two system, why spend cash on the stage one? It sounds like a similar upgrade with the addition of a couple extra pieces.
Quote from Dalite "FWIW, the Proposed Stage II will no longer include a new turbo, and will milk 260 hp out of the stock engine with the addition of larger injectors, new PCM and more elaborate electronic turbo management. It is also projected to include a new surge actuator, Inter-cooler spray system and an optional tuned Cat-Back exhaust system" If stage one is $400 say, would the stage two then be $600? I get the feeling that a little patience will pay off huge if that is the case.

In actuality, the number of pieces could be even less if the reprogramming could be done at the dealership.
That won't happen though! We seem to have this hangup on recieving a larger package for the price, so I doubt that they will ever program at the dealership. For our $850 to $900 there will be plenty of packaging to feed our egos. |

It would be great if PVO would build a hand held Flash module Like the one from Hypertech or Powerchips in the Stage II for the people that already bought Stage one. It can be connected to the ODB III/IV port, eter the VIN and download the programing To the MOPAR PCM.
But like Kirby said: That won't happen though. This would be too logical for them, But then again It could be cheaper for them. Just an Idea...

To build on what Kirby & Ian said...you think (and this is my aviation background taking) that "stage" upgrades built upon each other...another words you can't get stage II unless you have stage I, to replace the same parts you did just doesn't make any since to me. Why would I want to shell out almost 400 dollars now when I would want to go to the stage II? I don't understand the logic of how they call these "stage" upgrades...but like I said...when we do a modification to a jet & it is in stages, that means one step at a time, building upon what you completed the last stage....I could understand new injectors, but they should have a way to install the new program/hardware to the computer...

Do any of the pvo people have any insight to this situation? My inclanation would be stage one owners would get some form of price break.
