I understand that but if your not getting a responce and you want it in.
its just another option.

I took my PCM not connected or flashed to the dealer with the car and they connected it and flashed it and i drove carfully around the corner and used hand tools and swaped and remouted the computer.

A knowlegeable dealer can flash the pcm and they will charge you about an hour's time. A lot of dealers will claim stupidity and say it can't be done. There is a How To over at SRT forums that is a step by step instruction for the dealer to do the reflash. Get that and print it out if the dealer claims stupidity.

Yeah i would print it out and take it.

my self and a few others in our area knw some people who work at our Dodge dealer, so we dont have any problems getting a reflash

I just called the Dodge dealer in my town and they said it would cost me $50-$65 and take about 45 minutes to an hour.

The guy said that they had to put the PCM in the car to flash it??????

Does anyone have a link to those instructions???

id go and do it.
that sounds about right. what you could do is ask them to swap the computer for you or install the computer and drive over, the car will still work even if its not flashed

Ok, stupid question. If the car will still "work" if I put the S1 PCM in it, then why do I have to have it re-flashed to my VIN #?

because the car is reading it differently and you wont get the full power out of the S1 it will be slugish
thats what ive seen in SRT-4s

Car will only run for a few seconds with a pcm thats not reflashed yet. Pcm does not need to be in car to be reflashed.
