Default Stage I Instructions

56Kb beware! This link contains over 1MB of jpg files. You've been warned.

Here are the Stage I install instructions. The quality isn't the greatest as these scans were taken from a photocopy of the originals, but are clear enough to read.

Your images are better than the actual instructions I got with my kit...

ptgtcb,

Pages 7 & 8 are there (just double checked), you may just need to wait for everything to load.

If there's any interest, I can post BOV install instructions as I received mine last night (thanks again, tthrift).

The instructions have a few errors.
It looks that the instructions where made with a bare engine or there is a bad QC when the cars where built. Here is my Addendum:

Remove the air filter housing and the turbo intake pipe.

It says to remove the three screw holding the PCM bracket, there are actualy Four.

It also tells you after you have installed everything, to clean the manifold gasket residue. This should be right after the top intake manifold removal and covering the intake ports.

In the removal of the thermostat/filler port, there is a bracket installed to one of the screws, It also has a 1/4" screw on the side of the thermostat housing that holds this bracket. It needs to be removed for the thermostat cover to move.

The BOV install is kind of screwy also.

Ian

I found with the BOV install, it helped a little to undo the oil line going into the top of the turbo housing and move it aside. I think it was mentioned on here before(PVO PT) a 10mm wratchet wrench looks like it would help. I didn't have one and a smaller set of hands[?]

I haven't taken part in a Stage I install, I just passed on the instructions because I had the chance.
