Rodrun, the computer is designed to take advantate of what air/fuel and input from the sensors is available. It is not programmed to produce a specific output. As we all know the elements for combustion are air, fuel and ignition. If the engine is provided more air, and is capable of providing more fuel, adjusting timing (combustion) etc it will produce more power. It doesn't unlearn this.

pcm cooaperates just fine, cost me 3 to get it installed, my dealer didn't know what to do and i couldnt talk them down to a cheaper price.
Glad I didn't order it from them when they quoted me 1 1/4 hrs at $75.00 per (Rick Keffer). They also had to keep my GT overnight for the Clutch Recall, since they hadn't done one of those either.

Yeah,, I wrote it down when I got my first oil change. I explained it was a PCM swap and injector swap, and the procedure involved draining the coolant, removing the thermostat housing and swinging it out of the way, removing the intake plenum and fuel rail. That was all I knew to tell them at that stage of the game; back in May...

The tech went to the manual (flat rate?) and quoted 1 1/4 hours.

It is like the $71.00 oil change that I got at my local dealer, here in Brunswick. They had told me $42.00 for an oil change with Mobil1 before whan I had asked about it a few months ago.

These are the prices we pay for having a dealer that will go to bat for us over a warranty question (we hope)...

That's exactly what I meant, a dealer will only be on your side if they installed the Stage I, otherwise..............
