Mustangs used a 'rule of thumb' of 15% loss for a manual and 20-22% for an auto. I would assume that the numbers would be similar for other cars

From what I've read, most 5spd. have been dynoing at 200-210 at the wheels. Quite a difference from the Auto's.

One thing you should consider also is the number of miles on the vehicle.Yes, an Automatic will have more parasitic loss through the drivetrain, but my past experience with Dakota R/Ts showed that the engine actually was noticeably improved with approximately 30k miles or so on it.
I would be curious to see your first run with the silencers in and a paper filter (basically stock), then run #2 with just the silencers removed, then #3 with the K & N added, just to get an idea of what each mod adds.
Also, you need to look at the relative humidity, ambient temp., and elevation when you did these runs.

Too late TripleJack, Stage 1 and BOV are in now. My uneducated guess is that ther is a whole lot more torque and power now. Robert also mentioned that there are a lot of "holes" in the powerband with the stock setup.

I also mentioned to Robert that there are some beneficial ponies laying around also. Differential box... switch to synthetic (hands down, Red Line is the best). Automatic Transmission fluid, switch to synthetic (Mobil 1 is good). Engine oil(Mobil 1 5-30 works great).

Best guess is about 5 hp, better engine/trans life, and better gas mileage!

Robert doesn't even have 2k on the odo yet (it's still a baby).

Again (from most of what I've read and seen posted), the auto's aleays seem to be around the 175-190hp. with the Sticks higher... usually in the 200-210 range. due to as Cal put it "parasitic loss".
