The injectors went "klunk" (metal sound) when seated into the plenum orfices.

Are you sure that this wasn't just the o-rings seating themselves, or the plastic around the o-rings? I haven't had mine out, but there shouldn't be any metal directly in front of the injector anyway I don't think.

One thing to think about:

If my stock PT has an injector fail(which happens periodically as a random incident), maybe burns a valve, or scorches a piston. My warranty will cover all the repairs.

If the same random incident happens to a Stage 1 PT, nothing will be covered because the at fault part is from the Stage 1 unwarranted kit.

I use this illustration to emphasize a point as to why I am so sensitive to potential hazzards

If you're that hyper-sensitive about the issue, then just don't modify the car.

Thats the point!
Are we all here just to meet our own needs? If an issue isn't pertinent to my car right now I shouldn't speak up?
I guess it's the small town boy in me that makes me think that we take care of and look out for eachother in this world, at least that's what God intended. Remember, I ran into this issue helping Bob install his BOV and S1 kit.

Well I understand your concern for everyone, and it is a good thing, but when you make some of your observations, you tend to circle back to the whole warranty issue, which has been beaten to death.

I have also emailed venom performance, to get their response on this and also to see if they made a replacement injector with a thermal barrier on it.

I was told by the guy doing my kit, that you would know almost right away if there is a problem, due the resultant engine vapor lock. We should already being hearing about a problem if there is going to be one especially with all the people that are sticking their foot in the gas pedal. Bottom line if there hasn't been a problem by now there won't be. He got his information from a well known name in racing down here in San Diego. This same "well known" guy made a heat shield for the intake manifold on his PT Cruiser which serves to prevent a problem like this from occurring, which is an in expensive fix to prevent problems of this type from occuring. I asked for a quote, to have one made for me. Soo, I will do some more research. It would be nice if DCX answered the question. But looks to be a non-issue from here. More to come.

Here are links to some information that I've found already.
