Ian,
This is probably the perfect example why the Stage II kit will have a selectable boost control. I am seriously concerned about how 260 horsepower will stress the non limited slip drivetrain and relatively skinny tires on our PT. |

Ian -
So you removed the A'pexi Controller? What did you do with it? I was very interested in one of them after seeing your results.

I have made two errors in my PT.
1.Mod the engine with $600.00 electronics 2. Remove them and sell them for $300.00 I removed it because I wanted to see the difference with S-1, But a friend of mine found it and gave me $300.00 for the S-1 Fund. Now it lives inside a Supra, I want another one to increase boost to a steady 16 PSI now that I have better fuel flow... If you get your hands on one, don't let it go... It is so flexible and tuner friendly!!! It can even monitor you injectors dutty cycles! The only drawback is the same as with S-2 like Kirby said. You had to jump from one setting to another to meet your driving needs. I had it inside my glove compartment with my TT, S/W controller, GPS (Like I realy need it in an Island) and my G-Tech... My friends called me Vin Deesel because I was allways switching back and fourth the settings on the controller... This is how it looked: Ian

Ian-PT-GT,
Thanks for setting me straight! I should be running almost identical times to what you've posted since I'm also running S1, BOV, and the single BTG exhaust. I've run a best of 14.64 (factory tires, no power-shifting)with a MBC but haven't been back to the strip since the S1 addition. I've heard the S1 takes unkindly to a MBC...has anyone tried running both with a 16-16.5 boost setting on the MBC? I do like running the S1 so far as I also turned the boost down on the MBC when running on the street...having your boost set low when someone pulls along side and challenges you is NOT a good thing!!!
