Red area = too late! Save up for a new fuel pump.
With the PT you always get better mpg the first 1/2 of the tank. Totally inaccurate. Have the tranny flushed and not drained. Draining gets out very little fluid.
If you get rid of the Jet chip you can sell it on ebay. Lots of people do. Wonder why that is?

Both of the PT's in my world have a bit of a thunk going from 2->1, most noticeably when cold. Don't think it's an issue. (2001 base model - 2004 limited)

I hear ya, I had the the tranny flushed at Chrysler dealer they also put new filter and a sealer. The 2>1 thunk seemed to go away for a week or two then I started noticing it again in the morning when cold. In New York it's been 30's at night 40's-55 by day. Some days It seems to not happen. I am trying to claim potential tranny work through the private warranty I purchased (before it runs out) and maybe get the tranny totally mint, from what I understand the warranty company can send an adjuster in and deny my claims and I'll have to pay for the diagnostics at minimum. Also the Jet Module has to be removed as it could A). Be the cause and or effect troubleshooting B). disqualify any warranty claims , this as per my mechanic. Thanks for replies, I am a newbie here.

I had the same problem. They flashed my PCM with a new program and not only did it cure the tranny, I got an extra 3mpg out of the deal. They just did that last week and I am very happy with it.

You do mean a Chrysler dealer service center correct ?
