I did. My BOV Conversion plate is Back ordered also; since mid July. It would have been nice to be able to put it in at the same time Stage I is going in. You would have a few obstacles relocated then.

From what I have been hearing, one bolt is best accessed from underneath, and the other 2 fromunder the hood. Stage I does not require the BOV plate.

Go for it on the Stage I install!

Can't wait for the install.
Got the S1 installed this a.m. and have just about completed the tranny learn sequence -- it's been raining here all day. Since I haven't gone WOT yet, it's too early for me to state my opinions. For those in the Houston area, my service writer said he'd give other owners the same price he gave me, $195 out the door.
The tech who does the S1 installs is also their Viper tech and seems like a real sharp guy. He used a "DRB?" while driving the PT around as part of the install procedure; anyone know what a DRB is? He did tell me I still needed to do the relearn procedure per the instructions.
If any locals are interested, email or IM me and I'll give you the service writer's name and number.

Just trying to figure it all out. I have sat back and watched all the posts regarding the Stage 1'z, here and the SRT fourm. And how differant the dealerships seem to be. Just ordered my Stage 1 last Friday and the Dealership I ordered it from said that it would be $135.00 at the least and $175.00 at the most for the install. Wonder why the same company has such differant priceing accross the country.

Oh yeah, got the new wheels put on last Friday too. Will get pics asap.

THE DRBIII IS NOT NEEDED TO INSTALL THE STAGE I. HE MIGHT HAVE USED TO CHECK SOME CALIBRATIONS, BUT IT IS DEFINITELY NOT NEEDED.

There's different pricing across the country probably because of labor rates charged by dealers; afterall,we all know the cost of living varies from state to state.

You're probably right about checking calibrations; he's thorough for sure.

Finally had a chance to safely go WOT on a long stretch of road starting at 60 and going to ~105 mph. Man she keeps on accelerating up to redline in 3rd gear which is where I let off. I was in D, so I assume the 3-4 shift occurs a hair over 105 mph -- which equates to ~105 mph. I haven't done the math to be exact yet, just guesstimating based visually on rpms at 35 mph (~2000)x 3 = ~105 mph @ 6000 rpm.
Uniq and her group have done a great job designing this performance package; I'll probably pass on S2 -- famous last words.

I'm thinking seriously about going with a larger tranny fluid cooler for some safety factor; it's kept the Vette's tranny alive for quite some time. I'll look to see if MOPAR offers one first; after that, I'll try B&M.

Um... if you glance slightly to the left of the tach you'll find something called a speedometer. It does the math for you, in real time! 3 -> 4 shift occurs at 112 mph.

I agree with Romli, mine shiftes out of 3rd @ between 112-115 MPH. Only took a quick glance st the speedo, but pretty sure that that was the range of the shift. [}]
